MackSolo Team Update – Day 106 ✈️ 🌍
Sawadeekap! Sawadeeka! 🙏

This morning, Mack took off from #Kalkotta, #India, overflew Bangladesh and Myanmar, to land in lush and mountainous #Changmai, #Thailand 🇹🇭. And look what an amazing welcoming comitee 😉. Di Caprio, you've got another thing coming...😂

Was the #flight as uneventful as we hoped for? Not really... 😬 About 1 hour and a half into the flight, the power supply feeding the Turtle Pac pump failed. Sorry? The what failed?

So, on ✈️🦈 Sharky's back seat sits an additional "soft" fuel tank which increases the range (distance) Mack can #fly. Perhaps it's not the best comparaison for an aviation related item 😅, but it is litteraly looking like a giant, transparant "wine bag". To get the extra fuel from the bag into the wings - which are the main fuel tanks of the plane - an integrated pump system carries it across. The aircraft power to the pump failed. Luckily Mack is very disciplined about pumping fuel across first thing into this flight, so a big part of the bladder was already transferred when it happened.

Still, it made his flight (again) much more stressful 😱😓 than it should have been, whilst having to fly over military-run Myanmar. And, although Mack would have loved to discover the beauty of the country where his parents met, perhaps a diversion or an emergency landing in a country that is in a state of emergency, is not ideal... 😂🤣😅

Luckily no diversion was needed and Mack made it all the way to Changmai 💪, where engineers were immediately on the case🔧.

We now have only one request to the Gods, moon and stars and the traditional Thai #Yaksha guardian warriors who keep away evil spirits: may the next flights be perfectly boring and totally UNNNNNeventful!!! 😇

Perhaps our pleads are lacking strength or are little unclear. So, can we please 🙏 have some back-up fire dancing 🔥🕺💃🏻, praying 🙏, chanting 🎶, candle 🕯and incense 🪔burning from all of you to give Mack a break from #challenges and #obstacles on this #journey? Thank you!!! ⭐️
